Manufactured in 1921, this is an exceptional example of a Winchester Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine. Contoured side frame with the saddle ring and stud mounted on the left side. The left side of the receiver is marked with the standard two line address/patent dates and the top of the receiver ring is marked with the Winchester oval proof over ".30/ARMY". The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1895/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF & FGN." and the serial number is marked on the lower tang behind the trigger with a "B" at the end of the tang. Ramped blade front sight and folding ladder rear sight graduated to 1,800 yards. Mounted with a smooth military style forearm with grasping groove and handguard secured by a barrel band and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate with compartment containing an original pull though bore cleaner. The carbine comes with the original hanging tag "Information and Instructions", a copy of the book "Winchester An American Legend" by R.L. Wilson, a copy of the 1921 Winchester catalog #82 and a nicely frame and matted Winchester advertising print of a cowboy on horseback with a Model 1895 and a bear. The frame is 24 1/2 inches by 31 inches.

Condition: Near new. The carbine retains 99% plus original blue finish with extremely minor wear limited to the left rear of the magazine and forward sides of the lever assembly from cycling the action. There is a ring sadow present on the left side of the receiver from the saddle ring, which is currently wrapped to protect the finish.The wood is mint with only the slightest handling/storage marks. The markings are sharp. The consignor states that the carbine is un-fired and that appears to be the case. The action is excellent. The book, catalog and print are all excellent. This is an exceptional Model 1895 carbine that would be imposible to improve on. All of the accessories just add to the desirability of this extraordinary Winchester carbine!
