This is an excellent example of an extremely well documented U.S. M1903A1 National Match Rifle that has a fixed front sight and a ladder rear sight with 2,850 yard notch. The barrel has a star gauge mark on the muzzle and is marked "S A/flaming bomb/3-37". The bright polished bolt is numbered to the gun and is marked "N.S." on the top flat at the base of the bolt knob. Mounted on a smooth walnut pistol grip stock with boxed "S.A./S.P.G." cartouche, circled "P" proof, two reinforcing bolts, marked with the serial number and drawing number between the rear sling swivel and grip cap area, and a checkered steel buttplate with trapdoor (empty). With a leather claw sling, brass muzzle/sight cover marked "P.J.O'HARE/SOUTHORANGE,N.J./MADE IN U.S.", a rear sight cover marked the same, a framed test target and star gauge report, and a framed order approval, shipping ticket and shipping label.

Condition: Excellent, 97% original parkerized finish with some high edge and muzzle cover wear. The stock is also excellent with some scattered light scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
