Blade front and notch rear sights, with the Sauer address and caliber markings on the left side of the slide, and "PATENT" on the reverse. In addition, the upper left side of the slide bears the inscription "STANDARTENFUHRER NAGEL/ VON SEINEN ALTEN FUHRERN/ DER II/ M147 (VOGELSBERG)", roughly translated as "Colonel Nagel/ from the former leaders of/ Unit II/ M147 in Vogelsberg". Vogelsberg, located in the Free State of Thuringia, was a center for anti-semitic politics as far back as the 1880s, and would grow to be a political stronghold for the National Socialists during their rise to power. Unit 147 was established in the area circa May of 1930, and engaged chiefly in security and rally organization. Grips are checkered, with a Sauer monogram on the left panel. With an extra magazine, two vintage German-language manuals and a brown leather flap holster, stamped with the "SA" nordic runes on the flap, a faint ink mark within, and Albrecht Kind makers mark on the lower flap.
