According to information supplied by the consignor, this weapon was a unique sales sample, used on Eickhorn's showroom floor. 37 1/2 inch blade, with short single fullers, and an 18 5/8 inch long etched panel on one side, with a gold accented Eickhorn logo near the ricasso, scroll accents, and "Original Eickhorn Blanke Waffen (Bright Steel Weapon)". The grip is solid metal, with an 8 inch long oak leaf pattern guard topped with ram's head quillions, and a crown shaped pommel with oak leaves and acorns. One side of the hilt is decorated with a bust of a maiden with flowery crown on the languet, and an angel bearing an olive branch on the grip, while the reverse shows a death's head skull adorned with a laurel on the languet and an armored and masked figure wielding a longsword on the grip.

Condition: Excellent, with some minor spotting on the blade, and a small discolored patch near the tip. Hilt is excellent, with areas of darkened patina and a few moderate dents. Overall an excellent example of the Solingen bladesmith's craft and would make an attractive addition to any collection of Nazi daggers or even a European swords collection. A truly outstanding piece of cutlery!
