Manufactured circa 1969 and custom engraved. The revolver features a well executed full coverage floral scroll engraving with a gold eagle overlay on the right side of the frame and gold highlighted S&W monogram on the left side of the frame. A band of engraving is featured on the rear of the cylinder and the top strap is also engraved. Polished stainless steel with a matte finish on the hammer and trigger. The barrel retains the standard Smith & Wesson markings with four line address on the front right of the frame. Fitted with checkered S&W medallion grips with the right panel numbered to the gun. The factory blue box is numbered to the gun with cleaning rod and instructions. According to the consignor he carried this professionally engraved revolver while on duty as a Cleveland area police officer. Pictured on the cover of the Guns magazine, issue February 1970.
