Exhibition Quality Moore's Patent Teat-Fire Revolver with Factory Full Gold Finish, Etched, Ivory Gr
Made from 1864 to 1870, the majority of Moore's revolvers were finished in blue and silver, with an unknown smaller number done in full gold. Blade front and hammer notch rear sights, with the barrel marked "MOORE'S PAT FIREARMS Co, BROOKLYN, N.Y." in a panel and the cylinder "D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JANUARY 5, 1864" near the rear face. Acid etched scroll and leaf designs are present on the barrel, with punch dot backed scroll engraving on the frame, scenes of birds in the field on the sides of the frame, floral bursts on the recoil shield and a stand of flags and woodland scene of a dog facing off against a buck on the cylinder, done in a combination of etching and engraving. Checkered hammer and trigger, with smooth ivory bird head grips. Matching numbers on the barrel and grips, with "DC19" on the frame under the left grip. In a purple velvet lined hardwood case with a full 50-round cartridge block.
