This is an excellent example of a late WWII production Nazi K43 semi-automatic sniper rifle as manufactured by the Walther factory, that has the unique milled panel markings on the left side of the receiver. This style of rifle was produced when the Walther factory was changing from the G43 to K43 style markings. The receiver is the late war type 3, forged version with minimal machining with the single bolt guide, that has the rifle markings "K43/ac 44" on the upper left side of the receiver, with the "eagle/359" Waffenamt , Nazi firing proofs and serial number (4968q) marked on the lower front and rear end of the receiver side rail. It also has the late type three, rough cast bolt cover with the reinforcing web on the front end, no-hold open catch with the hollow cocking knob on the left side. The rifle is fitted with the late stamped action cover, with the manual, blue sliding dust cover. It has the standard blade front sight with the military tangent rear sight graduated from 1-12 (100-1200) meters, with the underside of the barrel marked; "dkt 45" indicating manufacture in 1945. It has the non-threaded barrel muzzle with smooth front sight base. It is fitted with the standard sheet metal trigger guard and front stock band. The stock and hand guard are both the correct late war laminated version with single Waffenamt stamp on the left side of buttstock in the pistol grip area and on the underside of the buttstock. In addition, the stock and handguard have factory applied waterproof stain finish typical of a sniper. It is fitted with a correct cupped buttplate that has the wartime spare package and field manual inside the butt trap. The rifle has been fitted with an original ZF4 scope and mount. The scope mount is marked with an eagle 359 proof below the locking lever and the scope marked "Gw ZF4/59507/K43/ddx" on the left side. It is complete with a rare phosphate rain shield, and tan leather lens cap with the wood plug on the ocular end and green filter. The blue magazine is marked "avx" and "K43" with a Nazi "eagle/WaA/204" in between the two markings. This rifle is complete with an original WWII brown cross-hatched leather sling, rubber muzzle cover and blued cleaning rod. Complete with buttstock kit and manual.
