This is an exceptional original unissued example of a late WWII Nazi P38 pistol as manufactured by the Mauser company in 1944. The left side of the slide is marked "P.38" followed by "byf / 44". The serial number is marked just ahead of the safety lever, left side of the frame, and barrel lug. Eagle/WaA135 proof is stamped on the left side of the frame, along with an eagle firing proof and two Eagle/WA135 proofs on the right side of the slide. The right side of the locking block also has the same "eagle/ 135" acceptance proof. Blue barrel with remaining parts phosphate. Fitted with ribbed grips and with a "P38" and "eagle/WaA135" proof marked magazine. Complete with a very rare pig skin P38 holster stamped "bla /1944" on the back between the belt loops and a marking on the inside of the flap has been blacked out.

Condition: Near new. The pistol retains 99% plus of the original phosphate and blue finishes with some minor edge wear on the front of the slide and some mild wear at the muzzle. The grips are also excellent plus with a few minor handling marks. The holster is excellent with some very scattered minor wear. The stitching is tight. If one were to desire a single representative example of WWII P38, here it is.
