Heavy weight #4 barrel with two line Stevens - Pope markings on the top flat, Stevens globe front sight, provision for a false muzzle (absent) and a Unertl 1 1/2 inch 18x scope, 26 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch tube with external adjustable mounts and a metal front lens cover. The barrel is marked "21 / 1.41" on the underside. Floral scroll engraved straight grip number 44 action with a hunter and deer on the right side and a hunter and flushing birds on the left. Double set triggers, ball and spur lever with wood panel insert and a Stevens windage adjustable tang peep sight with adjustable aperture. Extra fancy walnut checkered straight grip stock with a Schnabel tip forearm, swiveling Stevens-Pope style door knob palm rest and a large steel Schuetzen buttplate.

Condition: Excellent, with approximately 97% of its original blue finish, showing high edge wear on the barrel. The action, lever and buttplate show the distinctive Stevens case colors, about 85% on the receiver, 60% on the lever and 30% on the buttplate. The scope exhibits about 90% blue, with thinning ahead of the forward scope mount. The palm rest base has some flaking of its nickel finish on the left side and the stock shows 98% of its original finish with some thinning at the rest and the left buttstock, pressure dents and scratches. Optics are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
