The top of the barrel is roll-stamped with the one-line legend, "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.Co.HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.-". The caliber designation "32 W.C.F." is roll-stamped on the left side of the barrel. The left side of the frame is roll-stamped with the Colt three-date/two-line patent marking followed by the encircled Rampant Colt trademark. The inside of the loading gate is stamped with the assembly number "578". The full serial number, "251993" is stamped on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Stock:
Gauge: 32 WCF
Finish: blue/casehardened
Grips: black hard rubber
Serial Number: 251993
Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 97% plus of the bright original high polish blue and casehardened finish. Finish wear is limited to some very minor edge wear on the muzzle and ejector housing and some edge wear and turn marks on the cylinder. The blue finish on the back strap is thinning and shows some plum brown patina. The frame, hammer and loading gate have vivid case colors. The frame screws and trigger retain nearly all of the fiery niter blue finish. The grips are in nearly new condition with minimal wear. All of the markings are crisp. This is an excellent example of a 1904 production Colt Single Action Army Revolver.
