This is an exceptional example of a scarce prewar Polish Eagle Radom VIS-35 pistol with holster that was manufactured in 1939. These early pistols can be distinguished by the Polish Eagle and the date of manufacture on the side of the slide. This pistol has the polished satin blue finish and checkered black plastic grips. The grips have "VIS" molded into the right grip and "FB" into the left. This pre-war "three lever" pistol has the decocking lever, slide stop and takedown lever on the left side of the slide and frame. A stock slot is milled into the rear of the grip strap. The left side of the slide is marked "F.B. RADOM/1939r" followed by the Polish Eagle and "VIS-wz.35/pat. Nr.15567". The serial number is located on the right side of the frame above the trigger. Proof and inspection marks are stamped on both sides of the trigger guard bow and on the left side of the slide ahead of the decocking lever. The magazine has a dull blue finish and is unmarked. After the fall of Poland in early WWII the Polish Radom pistols became a secondary issue weapon used widely throughout WWII by the German Army. Complete with an original marked flap holster with three extra magazines and the extremely rare brass Polish cleaning rod. The holster has a belt loop and two rings for a strap. The inside of the flap is ink stamped with several circled "S" and makers name "K. KIRJACKI" over three lines with the address of this Warsaw maker. All three magazines have the dull blue finish, with "E" stamped on the spine of one, "28244" scratched on the rear of another.
BBL: 4-3/4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: plastic
Serial Number: 32974
Condition: Near new. The pistol retains 99% original blue finish with only some very slight holster wear and a couple of tiny dings. The grips are also excellent.with a few minor dings on the outer edges and sharp checkering. The markings are highlighted in white and remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent. The holster is probably the finest condition holster we have handled with just a few scuffs and just light wear, with tight stitching. Most of the few pre-war holsters show extensive wear. An exceptionally nice Polish Eagle Radom pistol with an original Holster.
