Excellent original gouache showing Teepees in moonlight with camp fire showing braves smoking pipes, squaws in background, horses tethered. The artwork is signed lower right H. Wackerman, dated 1973. Measures 28” by19-1/2”. Nicely framed and matted. The artwork is in fine condition. H. Wackerman was born in German in 1945 and eventually emigrated to the United States where he studied his favorite subject, the AmericanIndian. He lived on reservations and taught art to native children. He has had shows throughout the world and most recently at the Boothe Museum of Western art in Cartersville, GA, where one of his workshangs in a permanent exhibit. Provenance: Biltmore Gallery, AZ.
