These DWM pistol exhibited the best fit and finish of the WWI pistols and have an all rust blued finish with straw colored small parts. The top of the chamber area is dated 1915 and the front toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three "crown/ gothic letter" proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof. The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top, rear section of the barrel, left side of the breechblock and right side of the barrel extension. The upper safety position and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN".
