Hooded blade front and "R" marked Buffington rear sights, with the rear of the barrel marked "A" on top and "V/P/eagle head/P" on the upper left. Low-arch breechblock, marked "US/MODEL/1884", with the eagle/shield motif next to "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" on the lock plate. Smooth straight grip stock, with two "U" marked barrel bands, "M" on the trigger guard, circled script "P" behind the guard, "SWP/1889" on the left side and a "US" marked buttplate. With cleaning rod.

Condition: Excellent, with 98% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, scratching around the muzzle, minor edge wear and handling marks. 95% vivid case colors are present on the tang and underside of the breechblock, with fading on top. Stock is excellent with some mild scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent.
