Standard markings on the 1864 dated lock plate and "1866 / [eagle head]" stamped on the breechblock. An eagle head is repeated on the left barrel flat with the letter "C" stamped on the left side of the barrel ahead of the two leaf rear sight. "U" marked barrel bands and "US" and "C" marked buttplate. The left stock flat has two script cartouches and the letter "B" behind the trigger guard. Complete with sling swivels and slotted cleaning rod.

Condition: Excellent. The barrel, bands, buttplate, and trigger guard have a smooth brown-gray patina. The breechblock 95% plus of the original oil quenched black finish. The hammer and lock plate retain 98% original vivid case colors. The stock is excellent with some scattered minor handling marks and a dent ahead of the lock plate. The cartouches are clear and crisp.
