Approximately 17,000 of these pistols were manufactured for the Swiss military and were most likely produced between 1918 and 1933. Blank chamber and toggle marked "WAFFENFABRIK / BREN" under the Geneva Cross, with the right side of the barrel extension, frame in front of the trigger and left rear of the barrel are marked with the Geneva Cross, and the left side of the barrel extension is marked with the small "+/M" Colonel Muhlemann marking and Swiss Bernerprobe proof. The extractor is marked "GELADEN" and the lower safety position is correctly polished. Straw colored small parts, grip safety, leather strap on rear frame lanyard staple, standard checkered grips with smooth borders, and matching nickel plated magazine with wood base (25).

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original Swiss Army blue finish showing some minor thinning with the grip straps thinning to a gray and a smooth gray patina on the grip safety. The small parts retain 95% original straw color. The grips are also excellent with exception a few mild dings. Mechanically excellent. Overall the checkering is crisp.
