Introduced in 1911, this model was the concept of Phil Beckeart, a S&W distributor in San Francisco. Before this model, S&W's 22 calibers were all built on small frames, such as the Number One and the Lady Smith. Built on Smith & Wesson's I-Frame, it is equipped with a blade front and rear target sights, fluted 6-shot cylinder with knurled ejector rod, and casehardened hammer and trigger. "MADE IN USA" stamped on right side of frame, with the Smith & Wesson trade mark on the left. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates, the right side is marked with the caliber designation and the left "SMITH & WESSON". Fitted with wrap around, extended checkered walnut grips
BBL: 6 inch round

Gauge: 22 LR
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 95% original blue finish with loss limited to muzzle and some very minor edge wear. The hammer and trigger retain most of the original case colors. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dings along the bottom edge and sharp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
