Manufactured from 1888 to 1902, and also known as the "New Departure" or "Lemon Squeezer". The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address/patent dates and the matching serial number is marked on the butt, cylinder and top strap. Pinned blade front sight and barrel latch rear sight, 5-round fluted cylinder, nickel with blue trigger guard, and fitted with checkered "S&W" hard rubber grips with patent marking on the lower left panel. Complete with an original green hinged lid box without end label and correct directions label on the inside of the lid.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original nickel finish with some minor muzzle wear, and a few minor scratches. The trigger guard retains 85% original bright blue finish with a smooth dark patina on the balance. The grips are excellent. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent. The box is good.
