Manufactured between 1859 and 1874. Blade and notch sights with "ADDRESS SHARPS & HANKINS, PHILADELPHIA, PENN." in the flute on top of the barrel. The right side of the frame is marked "C. SHARPS PATENT/JAN. 25, 1859". This model was made without the side plate or extractor. The firing pin is mounted on the hammer and there is an interlock between the hammer and the barrel release to keep the pistol from opening or closing unless the hammer is on half cock. Smooth trigger, checkered hammer and barrel release and fitted with smooth walnut flared butt grips.

Condition: Very fine. The barrels retain 97% bright original high polish blue finish with some muzzle wear, some scattered minor scratches and dings, and some minor spotting. The frame retains 80% original case colors with a smooth gray patina on the balance. Missing screw on right recoil shield. The grips had a coat of varnish applied, otherwise very fine with a few very light handling marks. The markings are clear, (crisp on the barrel). The action is excellent.
