Excellent Pre-War Colt Camp Perry Model Pistol
The Camp Perry pistol was a unique single-shot, single action pistol manufactured on a Colt Officer's Model revolver frame. Introduced in1926 and manufactured until 1941, production was limited to around 2,488 pistols. Manufactured in 1929. The pistol has the Colt commercial blue finish and is fitted with two-piece checkered walnut grips inlaid with German silver Colt Medallions. The top of the frame has a matte finish. The pistol has a finely checkered hammer spur, trigger and backstrap. The pistol has target style front and rear sight; the front sight is adjustable for elevation and the rear sight is adjustable for windage. The top of the barrel is roll-stamped with the Hartford address and 1905 and 1926 patent dates in two lines. The left side of the barrel is marked "CAL 22 LONG RIFLE". "CAMP PERRY MODEL" is roll stamped on the side of the chamber and the Rampant Colt trademark is located on the left side of the frame behind the barrel latch. The Colt "Triangle/VP" proofmark is stamped on the left side of the frame above the front trigger guard bow. The serial number, "1301" is stamped on the inside of the crane.

Condition: Excellent. 98% plus original blue finish remains on the barrel exhibiting only the slightest amount of thinning around the muzzle. The frame and chamber retain approximately 99% original blue finish showing minor collector type handling marks. All markings are crisp and clear. The checkering on the backstrap is sharp. The grips are excellent. An excellent example of one of the more rare and sought after Colt cartridge firearms.
