This is a nice example of an all original, 1937 production P.08 Luger that was manufactured by the Mauser factory with all blued parts with the checkered walnut grips. The top of the chamber is dated 1937 and it has the "S/ 42" code marking on the front toggle. It has the early style "Eagle/ 63" Waffenamt proofs on the barrel extension and underside of the barrel. There is a single eagle firing proof also on the barrel extension, barrel and breechblock. It has the standard "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" on the upper safety area and extractor, respectively. It is fitted with standard checkered walnut grips and is complete with one blue unmarked magazine (from another P.08) with an aluminum base that is marked "2500/l" with the "eagle 63 Waffenamt" proof. As noted, this pistol has the correct, original all blued finish with walnut grips.
