The included factory letter confirms the barrel length and finish with checkered hard rubber grips at time of shipment. The revolver was shipped on March 27, 1892 and delivered to Hartley & Graham Co., New York City, one of America's leading sporting goods stores. The barrel rib has the standard two line address/patent date marking with matching numbers on the frame, barrel, latch and cylinder. Pinned blade front sight with notch rear sight on the barrel latch. Nickel finish with casehardened hammer and trigger and blue trigger guard. Fitted with pearl grips which were typically added by Hartley & Graham. The revolver comes with a rare presentation quality retailer case with "Hartley & Graham/New York" in gold on silk lining on the inside of the lid. The bottom of the case is lined in velvet and has a wooden cartridge block holding 30 rounds and a bore brush. The exterior of the case is covered in leather.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 97% original nickel finish showing some very scattered minor flaking. The trigger guard retains most of the original blue finish and the hammer and trigger retain vivid and bright original case colors. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks and a very small missing chip. Mechanically excellent. Case is fair with cleaning rod compartment missing, broken hinge and worn exterior. Retailer cases of this quality are extremely rare and even by themselves command a premium.
