Manufactured in 1957, the first year of production. The left side of the slide is marked "NATIONAL / * MATCH* COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBER 45" followed by the Rampant Colt, the right side of the slide is marked with the one line address and the serial number is marked on the right side of the frame. Blade front and adjustable target rear sights, skeletonized, wide serrated trigger with stop adjustment, blue magazine marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on the bottom, bright barrel marked "COLT 45 AUTO. N.M." on the breech and fitted with checkered walnut grips with gold medallions. Colt advertised the Gold Cup National Match as probably the finest 45 target pistol in the world.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 99% original blue finish with the slightest wear on the lower left front of the slide and overall a few light scratches and handling marks. The grips are also excellent with sharp checkering. Crisp and clear markings. Mechanically excellent.
