Manufactured in Belgium in 1978, this rifle was manufactured without sights on the lightweight tapered pencil barrel. The top of the receiver is fitted with a Leupold Vari-x III 3.5 x 10 - 50mm scope mounted on a scope rail. The barrel is blue, the trigger is gold, the bolt assembly and follower are polished, and the remaining parts are a French grey. The breech end of the barrel has a 2 inch floral scroll and punch dot engraved wedge on each side. The front receiver ring is engraved with a running pronghorn antelope in a plains scene on the right side, a bugling elk on the left side, with the remainder of the action scroll leaf and punch dot engraved. The hinged floor plate is engraved with a deer in a wooded scene with floral scroll engraving below and on the attaching metal and is signed "CORTIS" at the bottom. The trigger guard is engraved with a bear. And the trigger guard is signed "AM" (A. Marechal). The stock is extra fancy select walnut with a high gloss finish, fine line checkering and floral and matte hand carving on the forearm and grip area. The stock has contrasting forend and grip cap, a raised comb, cheekpiece, black plastic Browning buttplate and sling swivel studs. Complete with a Browning leather wrapped hardcase with padded brown fleece lining.
