Excellent Colt Storekeeper's Etched Panel Model 1877 Lightning Double Action Revolver
Manufactured in 1886, this revolver was produced without provision for an ejector housing. Fixed sights, with the two line Hartford address on top of the barrel and "COLT D.A. 38" in an etched panel on the left side. Nickel finished frame, with the three date, three line patent marking on the left side, proper elongated and checkered cylinder pin, and "113" on the loading gate. Matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Partial serial number (581) on the cylinder, along with the number "33". Fitted with checkered Rampant Colt embossed bird head grips.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 90% original nickel finish with some scattered light flaking and some loss on the cylinder. The barrel has some finish loss near the muzzle with some minor pitting in that area. The finish has a slight frost appearance. The etched panel is clear. The grips are fine with some scattered mild handing marks and limited wear in the overall crisp checkering.
