Manufactured in 1909 and by 1914 approximately 1,011 Colt Single Action Army revolvers were manufactured in the 38 Colt caliber. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side is marked "38 COLT" and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The matching assembly number "1590" is marked on the loading gate and right rear of the frame. The left upper front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proofmark and "W" at the rear. Casehardened frame and hammer with blue on the remaining parts, blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt at the top.

Condition: Excellent plus. The revolver retains 98% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish with some barely noticeable light scratches overall. The hammer and frame retain 99% bright vivid original case colors. The grips are also excellent with light handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear.
