Excellent Cased Belgium Browning Pigeon Grade Superposed Shotgun
Manufactured in 1961 in Belgium. Single steel bead sight on a matte vent rib with 2 3/4" chambers, choked modified/improved cylinder with ejectors. The barrels are blue and the remaining parts are coin finished. The action features fine tight scroll and floral pattern engraving with two pigeons in flight on each side and rose bouquets on the bottom. The same patterns extend to the trigger guard and break lever. Gold washed trigger, tang mounted safety/selector and mounted with high gloss, checkered fancy walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a Browning plastic buttplate. Length of pull is 14". Complete with a Browning hard takedown carrying case with fleece lining and brass hardware.

Condition: Excellent. The barrels retain 99% plus original blue and 97% coin finish with a few minor scratches on the lower barrel in front of the forearm from takedown, some discoloration and flaking on the coin primarily on the lower tang and forearm hardware and some light handling marks overall. There is some minor oxidation on the lower tang and forearm latch. The wood is good plus, with some light dings and scratches in the varnish, a few areas of varnish loss and a 4"x3" area of crazing on the right side of the stock. The case is excellent.
