European style pole arm possibly Spanish with forged steel triangular blade and turned cross guard circa about 1550 to 1700. The forged metal portion measures 12” in length by 2” across what is the widest part ofricasso. The forged steel area shows turning in manufacture by armorer and some damage, pitting and normal aging. The original metal portion has been mounted on a later wood shaft with fringe and measures 82” overall.Due to the shipping restrictions and cost for this volume and size we recommend cutting the shaft in 3 parts and rejoining it after shipping or we travel east occasionally and will deliver it to a show.
