European probably French officers type pistol converted from flintlock to percussion originally made late 18th to early 19th century and converted about 1830s to 1840s. The pistol measures 13 ¼” overall with 7 and nearly ¼” octagon barrelshowing a slight flare at the muzzle. The metal surfaces show a coating of light rust and patina with some scattered light to moderate pitting. The stock is near fine with just some minor scratches and handling marks and most of its originalfinish. The brass mounts show a dark patina. The ramrod is missing and the action is not quite working or holding on full cock. The barrel shows most of its original striped finish. A certificate of authenticity stating that this exact pistol is from the estate of legendary performer Bob Hope is included. Consigned directly from the Hope Family Trust. Est.: $300-$600
