European flintlock pistol remounted and stocked for mid-eastern trade showing fancy silver mounts circa early 19th century. The pistol measures 19” overall with 12 ¼” barrel of approximately 60 caliber smoothbore. The barrel and lock plate show a gray patina with some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. The stock is somewhat crudely made and the mounts not quite of European quality. There is a small touch mark on the ramrod thimble. The silver mounts have dulled and showsome gold wash on the butt cap and would polish nicely. The condition is fair to good overall. Est.: $600-$1200
