An Etruscan Bucchero two handled vessel, Italic, c. 7th Century BC, the body of low profile with sharply carinated sides and lightly concave base. The neck in concave with lightly flared mouth and two flat handles, each with a wide base narrowing at to surmounted by ridges and a single circular knob. The body is nicely decorated with an incised rope pattern around the base of the neck and handles as well as around the horned protrusion extending from each side of the body. A most interesting and attractive shaped with nicely burnished surfaces and light deposits. H: 2 7/8 in (7.4cm). Few minor rim chips. Ex South German private collection of an artist and art collector, purchased between 1960 to 1980.
