Lot of Two (2) Edged Weapons: Ethiopian Sword and South American Machete: 1.) Long Ethiopian double edged fighting sword with horn handle features an engraved and decorated double fullered blade, measuring 31.5'' in length, with faint markings at the ricasso area. Blade has a dark patina with light surface rust. Horn handle is retained at the top by a large domed washer and peened tang. There are a few chips in the horn, especially near the blade. Overall length is 36''. No scabbard. 2.) Machete of South American origin, with decorated leather scabbard, and 19.5'' blade with markings near the ricasso area of ''MPM TAAL''. Handle is made of horn and retained by a brass nut and decorative brass washer. Brass ''S-shaped guard and grip ferrule. Leather scabbard has two hanger rings. Overall length is 26''.
