Engraved Stevens Ideal Schuetzen Junior No. 52 Falling Block Target Rifle with Stevens Telescopic Sight

Manufactured from 1897 to 1916. This model is very similar to the No. 51 except they were equipped with the full loop lever, better quality and fancier engraving on the receiver, fancy checkered pistol grip stock and a heavy Schuetzen style buttplate. This rifle has a heavy weight barrel numbered to the gun and marked "32.40" and "1" on the bottom flat under the forearm with the top flat having the two line address and patent date marking. Lyman globe front sight with a Stevens telescopic sight (No. 368) adjustable for windage and elevation. The rear scope block is positioned on top of the barrel marking. The matching serial number is marked on the underside of the barrel ahead of the forearm and the lower tang. The casehardened receiver features a floral scroll motif on a matte background along with game scenes on the sides (a hunter with his dog on the left side and a hunting dog chasing a stag on the right side). The upper tang is drilled and tapped for sight mounting. Double set triggers and an adjustable palm rest. The palm rest has casehardened hardware. Mounted with a pistol grip stock with attractive grain pattern, checkered forearm and grip area, raised cheekpiece, and casehardened Swiss style buttplate.
