Heavy Damascus barrel with relief gold accented panels along the top, lightly floral scroll engraved lock, hammer, tangs, left side plate and trigger guard. Dove tailed blade front sight and fold down ladder style rear sight. Iron mountings and mounted on a full straight grip stock with skip line checkered wrist, decorative relief floral scroll carving on the bottom, cheekpiece, steel buttplate with floral scroll engraved extended tang, patchbox engraved with a bell. Flowers a scroll designs and sling swivels. Complete with a brass tipped wooden ramrod. Writer believes this high quality massive Jaeger rifle to have been made for Arab Royalty as the faint gold letters on barrel appear to be in Farsi.

Condition: Fine. The barrel retains much of the beautiful Damascus pattern and overall has a smooth brownish gray patina. Remnants of the gold writing on top of barrel remain. The hammer has a smooth dark patina and the remaining surfaces have a smooth mottled gray patina. The stock is fine, one of the wedges is absent and overall there are scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The engraving is clear. The action is fine.
