Manufactured by Moore's Patent firearms Company 1860 to 1865 and National Arms Company from 1865 to 1870 with a total production of approximately 6,000 between the two companies. The top of the barrel is marked "NATIONAL ARMS CO. BROOKLYN, N.Y." and the serial number and "PAT FEB 24 1863" are marked on the bottom of the barrel. The sides of the barrel have a forward pointing arrow and star burst. Steel barrel and brass frame with the standard floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the frame sides and checkered panels in the grip area. Blue barrel, silver frame, and German silver blade front and hammer notch rear sights.

Condition: Fine. The barrel retains traces of original blue finish, mostly on the underside in the protected area. The frame retains 80% original silver plating showing an aged patina on the exposed brass. The markings and engraving are clear. The action is excellent.
