Blade ramp front sight, one standing, one folding leaf express rear sight on a matted quarter rib, with an extractor. The rib is marked "Safari .470 N.E."Barrels marked "GSI Inc. T'ville, AL/GEBR. MERKEL SUHL,/MADE IN GERMANY" on the left rear and "Krupp Stahl" on the opposite. Sling swivel on the bottom rib. Lightly scroll engraved Anson & Deely box lock action with the Merkel logo on the bottom. Scalloped action with cocking indicators, double triggers and tang safety. Coin action and forearm hardware, with blue remaining parts and mounted with a nicely figured checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a plastic grip cap, cheekpiece, plastic Merkel buttplate and sling swivel. Length of pull is 14 3/8 inches. Complete with a hard leather takedown case with green lining.

Condition: Fine. The barrels retain 85% original blue finish with extensive scattered finish loss and some minor pitting on both sides of barrels. The trigger guard and break lever retain 99% original blue finish. The action retains 97% original coin finish with some flaking and minor oxidation on the left fence. The wood is excellent with only light handling marks and sharp checkering. The break lever is very tight, otherwise the action is very good. The markings and engraving are clear and crisp. The case is excellent, the inside lid label has been removed.
