English half-stock percussion big game rifle signed “Wood Lewis” on barrel with lock marked “Wood”. Rifle measures approx. nearly 40” overall with 24” octagon barrel showing thick walls, mounted with a long range rearsight. The metal surfaces show scroll engraving and have been lightly cleaned. The barrel shows traces of brown striping. The stock is good, condition is good overall. Action is crisp. With correct period typeramrod. Just the type rifle made for a big game hunter in India or Africa. Est: $750 - $1,500
