English flintlock pistol signed Ramsford, circa about 1760 to 1780. The pistol measures 15-5/8" overall with 9-1/8" iron barrel, brass mounted full stocked, approximately .69 cal. smooth bore. The metal surfaces show light to nearly heavy scattered erosion and surface pitting with a dark patina. The pistol is in its original flintlock configuration with correct parts. The stock shows some well done restorationand light refinish. The sideplate is pierced in a scroll design, the butt cap shows a grotesque mask, the stock is nicely carved around the tang in the form of a leaf. An original to-the-period ramrod is included.Just the type pistol carried by officers from the French and Indian War period to the American Revolution. Est.: $750-$1,500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
