English double rifle with box lock action marked Army and Navy, 470 Nitro express, 3 ¼” case, C.S.L. London, 75 grains of powder, 500 grain bullet. The rifle shows 25” barrels and measures 41 ½” overall and is of medium weight mounted with sling swivels. The barrel shows a three leaf rear sight and changeable front sight, automatic ejector’s, extra dolls head lock into action similar to Anson-Deeley. The barrels show 90% to 95% original blue finish evenly drifting and toning with some minor scratches. The action shows traces of case hardening drifting to silvery gray and the trigger guard has dulled with about 75% original blue. The pistol grip shows most of its original case hardening. The stock is very good plus with just a few minor scratches and marks. A hard rubber recoil pad of the correct style is retained. The action is tight and the bores are excellent.
