English double rifle marked Army and Navy C. S. L. London, 450/400-60 grains cordite, 400 grain soft nosed solid pointed bullet. The rifle remains in original good to very good condition and is serial numbered 55027. The barrels show 90% to 95% original blue with some losses at the edges and minor scratches. The frame shows traces of case hardening within a grayish patina. The trigger guard shows just traces of blue and has gone to gray. The stocks have been lightly refinished and checkered. The gun has standard extractors and three leaf rear sights, double triggers and shows loops for sling swivels. The bores are fine to near excellent and the gun locks tight with an extra dolls head type faster which marries to the frame. The stock measures 15” to the end of the pad. Est.: $3,000-$6,000.
