English Queen Anne period center hammer flintlock pistol signed “Turvey, London” circa about 1690 to 1720. The pistol measures 12” overall with 5 1/4” turn-off screw barrel. The metal surfaces show some light cleaning long ago and some scattered erosion and minor pinprick pitting now aging back nicely. The breech shows maker and London proofs and the barrel is ringed in cannon style. The flintlock parts are all original and engraving fairly good on action. The stock shows a silver butt cap and floral motifs. The stock retains original silver wire inlays of which about 50% remain with some wear and normal aging. Est.: $900-$1,800.
