English Flintlock pistol with top mounted spring bayonet, signed "Jos'h Richards", circa 1810-1830. The pistol measures 10-1/2" overall with 5-1/2" barrel group, approximately .65 cal. smooth bore withmedium weight steel barrel. The metal surfaces show a brown patina finish with some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. The stocks are good with fairly crisp checkering, minor mars opening around key,pin holes and just normal aging. The lock shows its correct small parts; the spring on the bayonet is weak and the bayonet is original to this pistol. A massive pocket gun for self defense that would put off mosthighwaymen. We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
