Eleven piece set of bronzes showing busts of famous Cowboys and Indians of the old west by noted sculptor Casey Koehler, circa 1976, #2 of only 2 sets produced, the first set kept by the artist. The busts measure approx. 11”in height including base, are very finely formed and detailed, and portray the following notables: (1) Dull Knife, (2) Red Cloud, (3) Geronimo, (4) Sitting Bull, (5) Black Hawk, (6) Chief Joseph, (7) Kit Carson, (8) Billy the Kid, (9) Wyatt Earp, (10) George Custer (11) W. F. Cody. This recognized artist is most renowned for his busts and portraits. His artwork has been exhibited all over the US and Europe. He hasalso worked as a fine jewelry designer for Winston Jewelers of New York and is particularly well regarded for his lifelike facial portrayals.
