Early U.S. Model 1903 bolt action rifle by Rock Island Arsenal, .30-06 cal., 24” R.I.A. barrel dated 10-05, military finish, wood stock, leather sling, #3923 in overall good condition showing considerable old refinish remaining, good bore, action, markings and wood with scattered mars, dings and scratches from carry and storage; partially visible circle P proof with J.F.C. and R.A._. cartouches on the left side of stock above the trigger assembly; a small number “8” is also stenciled in white paint on the right side of the butt stock.
