For you in this lot is a small collection of two early Montana tourist maps. The first piece is a pocket map, of the entire state of Montana, "Compliments of John L. Church - General Engineering Practice in White Sulphur Springs, Montana" - The small map fold out to show "Clason's Sketch - Map of Montana - Published by the Clason Map CO., Denver. COLO", and copywrite in 1913. The second map is a larger fold out pamphlet of "Missoula - The Garden City of Montana". The map includes "Road Maps - Tourist's Guide to places of interest - Historic Points - Camps, Resorts, ETC.". Fold the map out, and reveal routes from Missoula to Wallace, Missoula to Clark Fork, Missoula to Kalispell, Missoula to Butte & Helena, Missoula to Salmon, and Missoula to Ruble Creek. Additionally, the map tells tales of points of interest, travel tips, and more. The main portion of the map reads "Sketch Map of Western Montana - By the Montana Chamber of Commerce of Missoula - J.S. Swan". The legend of the map shows main highways, other roads, main trails, historic routes, and National Forest lands. The maps show good condition overall. The map of Missoula County measures 9 1/4" x 4".
