This is an example of a early antique Model 1896 commercial Broomhandle Mauser pistol that is complete with the original matching combination wooden shoulder stock/holster. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with the top of the chamber marked "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N", the left side is marked with a "crown/crown/U" German test proof, gothic letter and Oberndorf antler proofs on the underside. Milled recessed panels are present on the frame sides. Equipped with an unmarked cone hammer, an early style safety switch and 21-groove grips with a lanyard ring on the butt. With a hardwood shoulder stock, numbered "760" on the blued steel hinge.

Condition: Very good, with 25% of the original blue finish, concentrated in the protected areas, with a mixed brown and gray patina overall, scattered spotting and mild handling marks. The grips are very good, with a few light chips and dents. The stock is fine, with some cracking and stains. Mechanically very fine.
