Early English style hunting sword with root burl wood grip, cast brass guard and mounts with period shortened blade. The sword measures 22-1/2” overall and the blade measures 17-1/4”. The grip is fluted andcarved nicely and resembles stocks on pistols circa 1690-1720. The blade has been reduced about 3 to 4 inches and the blade shows light to moderate pitting and erosion.
