Early Colt patent marked powder flask, circa 1840s, type associated with Patterson long arms and early Colt Dragoons. The bottom of the flask shows Colts patent, stand of arms, crossed rifles and pistols and fully visiblerings on mortar. The flask is mounted with triangular rings at the bottom and shows Colt marking on ball door cover. The condition is good, showing some opening on the seam at the bottom; 20-30% lacquer that's gone dark, some minor dings, mars and normal aging. The plunger and small parts are all original.
