Early Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 cal, 7-1/2" barrel, nickel finish, varnished wood grips, serial #21378. Shipped to Schuyler, Hartley & Graham, New York, NY, on Nov. 30, 1875, with 50 guns in shipment. Thesingle action retains approximately 60%-70% nickel finish, dealer applied, which is now starting to drift and in areas where finish has drifted shows some light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. The markingsare sharp; the edges are crisp. The revolver shows all matching visible serial numbers. The grips show approximately 70%-80% original varnish with some slight high point and edge wear. The hammer shows most of its originalcase hardening. The front sight is nearly its full height. The two-line patent dates and early italic address are very clear. The action is tight; the bore is very good. The single action retains its original cylinderpin and ejector-rod head and all correct early features and is a nice early, untouched original single action with factory letter verifying caliber, barrel length, and stocks not listed.
