Manufactured in 1915. The slide has the standard two line, two block 1897-1913 patent dates and address on the left side, with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations. The right side is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .45" and the right side of the frame is marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the serial number. The upper left front of the trigger guard bow is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proofmark, with the letter "Y" on the rear lower left. Smooth trigger, checkered slide stop, thumb safety, wide hammer spur and magazine release. Standard fixed sights, lanyard loop on the heel of the frame, unmarked two tone magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips with the diamond pattern around the screws.

Condition: Professionally restored to near mint condition. The grips are excellent with a few of the diamonds in the checkering chipped off and sharp checkering. The markings are highlighted in white and remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
